Dr. Vivek Balse is a Science graduate and pursued his Post Graduation in Marketing Management. His doctoral thesis was in the area of health care services which earned him PhD from University of Mysore. His research makes a significant empirical contribution by proposing new paradigm in the health care services by using primary database to theorize and analyze the gap in health care services. He has co-chaired National conference by ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) in 2011. He is on editorial board of International Journal of “Educational Aspects, Management Studies and Applied Sciences” – an internationally approved quarterly peer reviewed journal, published from Vijaynagaram, Andhra Pradesh. He has been regularly invited by Administrative Training Institute to address Class 1 officers from Government of Karnataka, India.
Dr. Vivek has handled diverse responsibilities during his corporate career spanning over 15 years with world’s largest bio-pharmaceutical company. He was rewarded with highest recognition as “Significantly achieved” in his tenure under stringent performance measures by his former employer M/s Pfizer limited, USA. He has made over 100 presentations on the crucial topics of recent advances in antibacterial research involving to Consultant Medical Practitioners and ICU Specialists across the country.
Currently, he is serving as Associate Professor at Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana PG Centre, affiliated to University of Mysore, India. His areas of interest are Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Health Care Management and General Management. Also, he is working on a UGC project titled “Contemporary Education System in MBA Colleges and Corporate Employment Skills – A Gap Analysis”
Dr. Vivek has published over 10 papers in leading international journals on various topics. He has also authored a book titled ‘Essential Corporate Vocabulary” (ISBN. 978-81-931150-0-8) for young budding managers in corporate world, which is acclaimed by heads of many multinational companies and Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries, Mysore chapter. Considering his corporate & academic exposure at national and international levels and vast experience in the field of research, he was nominated as Honorary Member, Research Panel of Arcus Academy Pvt Ltd.
Dr. Nilanjan Sengupta has a Masters in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has obtained a PhD in Sociology from Visva Bharati University, Shantineketan, West Bengal, India. He has graduated with a Major in Psychology and Sociology from Elphinstone College, University of Mumbai, India.
Dr. Nilanjan Sengupta has more than 19 years of working experience as an educator and practitioner in the field of management. He has worked as a teacher, trainer, researcher and management consultant in national level management institutes like, NIBM Pune, EDI Ahmedabad, IMT Nagpur, and has held important academic and administrative positions in his career. He has taught in the management programs offered by foreign universities in India, like University of Michigan, Lubeck University Germany, and Cambridge University UK (British Council Kolkata). He has also worked in the corporate sector covering both the manufacturing and IT sectors in managerial positions. He has consulted with international bodies like The World Bank, E.C. and IFAD (Rome) and OXFAM (India) in a number of international and national projects.
Dr Nilanjan has an impressive track record of publications with more than 30 papers in national and international journals, conferences and seminars and 5 books in the areas of management and social sciences, respectively. He is in the Editorial and Advisory Boards of several prestigious journals. Dr. Sengupta is a registered PhD guide at VTU, Belgaum. He is also an empanelled consultant at TRI, Mumbai and ConnectEd, Thailand. He has conducted several training programs in the field of HR and Behavioural Sciences for banks, financial institutions, government organizations, private & corporate sector institutions and NGOs. Currently, he is a Professor at SDM Institute of Management Development, Mysore.
